Import Customs Procedure
  1. Classify goods using the EAEU Commodity Nomenclature (TN VED)
  2. Determine applicable duty rate and VAT (typically 20%)
  3. Submit customs declaration via the electronic system (TKS)
  4. Pay customs duties and VAT before or at release
  5. Goods released within 1–2 working days if documents are complete
Sanctions Since 2022

Since February 2022, Belarus is subject to EU, US and UK sectoral sanctions that restrict trade in certain goods:

  • Dual-use and military goods — broadly prohibited
  • Luxury goods imports from sanctioning countries — prohibited
  • Potash exports to EU — restricted
  • Technology, electronics, vehicles — significant restrictions

Trade continues primarily through Russia, China, the Middle East and African markets.
