100 killed, 340 injured in US Independence Day shooting incidents

Over the weekend of July 4, nearly a record number of mass shootings—20—occurred, reports the nonprofit organization Gun Violence Archive. In total, 100 people died and another 340 were injured in shooting incidents during the three-day US Independence Day holiday celebration.
