19-year-old courier for scammers arrested after three failed thefts in Minsk

A 19-year-old woman, lured into a scam scheme after a phone call allegedly from an MTS employee, was used by fraudsters who then impersonated KGB officers and forced her to carry out their orders. She attempted to steal money and jewelry from Minsk residents three times, but each attempt failed: pawnshops refused some jewelry, a bank blocked a transfer of 9,000 rubles, and during the final assignment, police detained her. More than 15,000 rubles were seized and will be returned to the victims.
