32 people pardoned ahead of Belarus Independence Day, including 28 convicted of extremist crimes

On the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus, 32 people have been pardoned, 28 of whom were convicted of extremist-related crimes. The corresponding decree was signed by Alexander Lukashenko. The head of state pardoned 20 women and 12 men. The decision was made on the basis of humanitarian principles towards the convicts and their families. All of them had petitioned for pardon, acknowledging guilt and expressing remorse.
