32 people pardoned before Belarus Independence Day, including 28 convicted of extremist crimes
On the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus, 32 people have been pardoned, 28 of whom were convicted of extremist-related crimes. Alexander Lukashenko signed the corresponding decree. The head of state pardoned 20 women and 12 men. The decision was made on the basis of humanitarian principles towards the convicts and their families. All of them had petitioned for pardon, admitting guilt and expressing remorse.
