82% of Belarusians assess their family's financial situation as acceptable

The Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences presented the first part of a republican survey. The customer was BISI. Two thousand people were surveyed in 99 populated areas: 80% urban and 20% rural residents.

According to the study, economic sentiments are moderately optimistic. Rural families rate their well-being slightly higher than residents of Minsk. Key values include health, family, financial stability, and emotional comfort.

Changes over the past five years, according to respondents:

▪️ 93% can afford necessary food products — five years ago, this was 79.5%

▪️ 80% cover basic clothing and footwear expenses — previously 50%

▪️ 10% managed to buy an apartment or build a house — previously 3%

Belarusians are mindful of their finances: some save in rubles, others use installment plans. The presentation is ongoing — the next sections will cover socio-political topics.
