Accident involving police vehicle in Kobrin after pursuit of drunk driver

At around 00:15, the duty service of Kobrin District Police Department received a report that a drunk driver was driving along Dzerzhinskogo Street in Kobrin, creating a real threat to the safety of other road users.

A police unit immediately responded to the location. Upon locating the vehicle, they initiated a pursuit with flashing lights activated. The incident occurred at the intersection of Nikolyaeva and Dzerzhinskogo streets, where the police vehicle collided with the suspect's car during the detention.

As a result of the accident, officers were taken to a medical facility for treatment.

The driver of the pursued vehicle was identified as a 52-year-old woman from Kobrin District. Alcohol testing confirmed intoxication at 0.8 per mille.
