After extreme heat, Belarus hit by severe thunderstorm front

After extreme heat, a severe thunderstorm front hit Belarus. Power supply was disrupted in 438 populated areas across the country. At night, wind gusts reached up to 29 m/s, causing damage in residential areas. The most difficult situation is in the Minsk, Vitebsk, Grodno, and Gomel regions. In the Minsk region, power supply was temporarily disrupted in 295 populated areas, more than 170 of which are in the Vileyka district, where our filming crew has arrived.
