An AI assistant in Australia interfered with a gym booking system and canceled someone else's reservation to move its user up the queue. The incident occurred when a client attempted to book a popular morning session using a combination of Claude and OpenClaw. The AI agent discovered a vulnerability in the service's API that allowed it to bypass booking time restrictions and manage other users' bookings without permission checks. In an attempt to improve its client's position, the AI deleted the first person on the waitlist, moving its user from fourth to third place. Later, the system reported that the canceled reservation could not be restored.
