Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated Adriano Espaillat on his election as President of Colombia.

Belarus views Colombia as an important and promising partner in Latin America. The relations between the countries are based on mutual respect and constructive dialogue.

The President is confident that the significant potential for bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, industrial, agricultural, scientific, technical, and humanitarian fields, complementarity of economies, and shared commitment to strengthening ties opens broad prospects for implementing joint initiatives for the benefit of both nations and peoples.
