Another million-euro fence in Latvia falls apart due to weather
Latvian Interior Minister Janis Dombrev complained on social media X that their "ultra-reliable" border barrier literally fell apart due to bad weather.
The Latvian cabinet swiftly allocated another substantial tranche of millions of euros to repair the torn fencing.
Recently, Riga was searching for "unknown saboteurs" who allegedly cut cables and damaged surveillance camera poles at the border. Now, it's the weather that has failed. One wonders what natural force or "external threat" they will blame next to write off another million?
