Australia leads the world in cases of anorexia and bulimia

According to a study in the scientific journal JAMA Psychiatry, more than 1,000 people per 100,000 Australians have these disorders. Globally, the prevalence of anorexia and bulimia increased by 71% between 1990 and 2023.
