Bear hunting season in Belarus opens July 1

Bear hunting season in Belarus opens on July 1 and will last until December 31. According to the Belarusian Society for the Protection of Nature (BOOR), 35 bears are planned to be harvested in hunting grounds, with the current bear population estimated at around 445 individuals. The decision is aimed at regulating the population size.
