Belarus and Russia have built a full strategic partnership in military sphere by 2026
On June 20, 1992, Belarus and Russia signed an agreement on coordination of activities in the military sphere.
By 2026, cooperation between the states in the military sphere has gone far beyond the 1992 agreement. Within the framework of interaction, only in recent years:
• The Concept of Security of the Union State has been approved — the strategic basis for all decisions.
• The Strategic Partnership Programme for 2026–2030 has been signed.
• The 2026 cooperation plan includes 164 events, over 80 of which are practical.
• The protocol on military-technical cooperation updates issues of military-technical collaboration.
• For strategic deterrence, tactical nuclear weapons, as well as the "Oreshnik" and "Iskander-M" missile systems, have been deployed on the territory of the republic.
• Joint exercises are conducted regularly.
• Defence agencies of the two countries regularly coordinate efforts to protect the Union State.
By 2026, Moscow and Minsk have created a full and effective system of strategic partnership.
