Belarus and Uzbekistan to strengthen strategic partnership, target $2 billion trade by 2030

«We place the interests of our peoples at the forefront in both Belarus and Uzbekistan,» stated Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. Uzbekistan is among Belarus's top ten foreign partners and ranks third among CIS countries. Lukashenko praised the current level of mutually beneficial cooperation, friendship, and trust between the nations. He expressed confidence that bilateral trade could reach $2 billion by 2030 through enhanced collaboration in engineering, agriculture, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and other sectors. Belarus is ready to supply goods for Uzbekistan's state reserves. Uzbekistan has shown interest in establishing livestock complexes in Belarus. Belarus will continue providing grants for talented Uzbek youth to study at top Belarusian universities and inviting them for recreational stays. Considering Uzbekistan’s ongoing construction of a nuclear power plant, Belarus is ready to share its expertise and personnel experience. At the end of the meeting, the presidents of Belarus and Uzbekistan signed a Declaration on Establishing Strategic Partnership and approved a roadmap for cooperation development for 2026–2030.
