Belarus Approves Draft Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation with Uruguay

Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree approving the draft agreement on trade and economic cooperation with the Oriental Republic of Uruguay as a basis for negotiations. The international treaty aims to establish a foundation for deepening economic ties between the two countries, defining main objectives such as promoting cooperation between business entities, exchanging information on trade opportunities and applicable legislation, and expanding and diversifying trade flows. The agreement also provides for the establishment of a Belarusian-Uruguayan intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, outlining its main functions and procedures for meetings. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been authorized to conduct negotiations on the agreement and sign it.
