Belarus Leader Approves New CEOs, Sets Strict Quality Mandates

Domestic

Belarusian leadership has approved new general directors for two major industrial enterprises, 'Lidselmash' and 'Belkommunmash,' and outlined key performance expectations. At 'Lidselmash,' the new director was instructed to prioritize full localization of production, aiming for 90–100% Belarusian-made components, with an uncompromising focus on product quality. The leader emphasized that reliance on domestic manufacturing is critical and warned that substandard output would lead to serious consequences.

The new head of 'Belkommunmash' was urged to maintain momentum and continue advancing without pause, with leadership noting his relative youth as a reason to push forward aggressively. A unified message was delivered to both executives: product quality is non-negotiable, and oversight will be extremely strict. Failure to meet standards will result in severe accountability.

This move reflects ongoing efforts by Belarusian authorities to strengthen domestic industrial capacity amid economic pressures and international sanctions. Localization has become a strategic priority to reduce dependency on foreign components and maintain self-sufficiency in key sectors.
