Belarus may cancel VAT exemption for electric cars by 2027

The director of 'BelDzhi', Gennady Svidersky, has proposed cancelling the VAT exemption for electric cars in Belarus by 2027. He believes this will create equal competitive conditions and attract additional investment into production.

In August, 10,300 cars were sold in Belarus—7% more than in July. Electric car sales increased by nearly 10%, reaching 3,900 vehicles.
