Belarus opens embassies in North Korea and Myanmar
In October 2026, Belarusian embassies officially began operations in Pyongyang (North Korea) and Naypyidaw (Myanmar).
Agreements on opening diplomatic missions in North Korea and Myanmar were reached during talks between Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and the leaders of these countries.
The opening of two new embassies is the result of Belarus's targeted policy to strengthen its presence in countries of the "far arc."
The work of Belarusian foreign institutions will focus on further developing mutually beneficial relations with North Korea and Myanmar.
