Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko congratulates compatriots on Independence Day
Dear Belarusians!
I congratulate you on the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus — a holiday filled with sincere love for the Motherland, pride in its history and achievements.
The day of liberation of the Belarusian capital from Nazi invaders — July 3, 1944 — has become a symbol of courage, freedom and patriotism for our people.
Today, the sovereign country gratefully remembers everyone whose military and labor feats protected the right and opportunity for Belarusians to live and raise children on their native land, confidently looking into the future.
Therefore, each of us feels a special sense of responsibility to the memory of our ancestors for the development and fate of the Fatherland, expressed in concrete actions and accomplishments, in the desire to make our common home comfortable and safe. These enduring values unite us, help us move forward together, and are the guarantee of the country's success and prosperity.
I wish everyone strong health, kindness, and happiness under the peaceful sky of independent Belarus.
Happy holiday! Happy Republic Day!
