Belarus President awards state honors to individuals from various fields
Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree and an order awarding state honors and the President's Thanks to individuals from various fields. 43 people were awarded orders, medals, and honorary titles. Marina Anikeeva, CEO of OJSC 'Molochny Mir', was awarded the Order of the Fatherland, III degree; Alexander Shishko, chairman of the SPK 'Ozery Grodno District', received the Order of Honor. A large group received the Medal 'For Labor Merits', including Yelena Buyalskaya, a forester's assistant at the Kozhansky Forestry of the 'Braslav Lakes' National Park; Klavdia Kuzmich, head of Pharmacy No. 12 of RUP 'BelLekoTsent'; and Petr Paprotsky, director of the Grushevskiy Repair and Mechanical Plant. Vladimir Lelevich, head of the Department of Biochemistry at the Grodno State Medical University, was awarded the Medal of Francysk Skaryna. Honorary titles of the Republic of Belarus were also conferred. Oleg Skovorodko, a painter and member of the Vitebsk regional organization of the Belarusian Union of Artists, was awarded the title of Honored Art Worker. The title of Honored Scientist was awarded to Oleg Dormeshkin, professor at the Belarusian State Technological University (BSTU), and Vitaly Shevlyakov, chief researcher at the Research Institute of Hygiene, Toxicology, Epidemiology, Virology and Microbiology. Inna Medvedeva, Chairperson of the National Statistical Committee, received the title of Honored Economist. The title of Honored Education Worker was awarded to Natalia Chernaya, professor at BSTU; Viktor Leontiev, head of the Biotechnology Department at BSTU; and Sergey Fomin, professor at the Department of State and Military Administration of the General Staff Faculty of the Military Academy. The company OJSC 'Dorstroymontazhtrast' was awarded the President's Thanks for its significant contribution to the development of the construction industry and efficient production activities. 16 individuals were also awarded the President's Thanks for many years of fruitful work and achievements in their professional fields, including Andrei Sobolevsky, head of the tax inspection in Minsk; Gennady Kondratenko, professor at the Belarusian State Medical University; Dmitry Dyagilev, head of the Department of Financial Investigations of the KGB in the Minsk region and Minsk city; Natalia Valevach, chief nurse of the Republican Clinical Medical Center under the Presidential Affairs Office; Maxim Bolotyany, head of the Nesvizh District Emergency Situations Department; and Andrei Buben, machine operator at the 'Ditva' peat briquette plant in the Lida district.
