Belarus President congratulates Orsha aircraft repair plant on 85th anniversary

The President of Belarus congratulated the management, employees, and veterans of the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant on the 85th anniversary of its founding.

"The history of the enterprise began in the first and most difficult days of the Great Patriotic War with the formation of the 2nd Aircraft Repair Train of the Air Force of the Baltic Fleet, which participated in the defense of Leningrad and the Soviet Arctic, restoring engines and special equipment of combat aircraft. Exactly seven decades ago, the Bolbasovo airfield became the plant’s permanent location, and today it holds a significant place in the defense sector of the Republic of Belarus," the President said.

The head of state noted that the plant's team makes a substantial contribution to strengthening the combat readiness of military aviation and the reliability of Belarus's civil air fleet through their work. "You are successfully mastering advanced technologies, continuously improving the production base, expanding the range of equipment serviced, while preserving the best traditions and generational continuity."

"I am confident that your team, distinguished by high professionalism, responsibility, and dedication to the enterprise, is capable of tackling the most complex tasks and achieving great accomplishments."

The President wished all employees and veterans of the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant strong health, well-being, and new successes for the benefit of their homeland Belarus.
