Belarus summons Ukrainian chargé d'affaires over drone attack on civilian bus

Ruslan Varankou, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, stated: "The acting chargé d'affaires of Ukraine in the Republic of Belarus has been summoned to the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A protest note was handed over regarding the attack carried out by a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle on a civilian bus transporting Belarusian citizens. The Ukrainian side has been informed that as a result of this heinous crime, a female citizen of Belarus died, and six other citizens, including five children, sustained injuries, some of them severe. The Republic of Belarus categorically condemns this inhumane terrorist act, which has no and cannot have any justification. The Belarusian side has demanded comprehensive explanations from the Ukrainian side, immediate and objective investigation, and information on holding all those responsible strictly accountable. Belarus will continue to take all necessary measures to protect the lives and security of its citizens and reserves the right to take appropriate actions against the Ukrainian side."
