Belarus to allow workers to buy rental housing built by employers

In Belarus, employees may be allowed to purchase rental housing built for them by their employers. Following a meeting with Alexander Lukashenko, authorities were instructed to create such an opportunity after a certain work period, with proposed terms of 15, 20, or 25 years. Also, starting in 2026, the deadline for moving into rental apartments will be reduced to 30 working days. Currently, more than 17,000 rental units remain unoccupied in the country.
