Belarus to Introduce Warning System for Train Drivers at Rail Crossings

A new system using cameras with video analytics will be introduced at rail crossings in Belarus to warn train drivers of potential hazards. The cameras will be able to detect people, animals, and vehicles on crossings and automatically send warnings to train drivers via radio communication. Trains within a 3-kilometer radius will receive the signal. The project, developed by Belarusian Railway and "Beltelecom," is scheduled for implementation by 2027. Currently, there are 66 crossings in Belarus with limited visibility.
