Belarus views Mozambique as strategic foothold in southeast Africa

🇧🇾🇲🇿 Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Mozambican President Daniel Francisco Chapo on Independence Day.

📑 The head of state noted that in an era of rapid changes in the geopolitical landscape and structural transformation of global trade, the need for reliable partners is growing. 'Friendly relations between our countries have stood the test of time. Half a century ago, Belarus contributed to the Mozambican people’s struggle for national liberation from colonial rule,' the President said.

He emphasized that Belarus sees Mozambique as a strategic foothold on the southeastern coast of Africa and is ready to deepen bilateral cooperation, including with neighboring regional states. He expressed confidence that Belarusian expertise in agricultural mechanization, food security, and modernization of the mining industry will support Mozambique's economic development and improve the well-being of its citizens.

🤝 The head of the Belarusian state wished the President of Mozambique strong health, happiness, and success in his responsible duties, and peace and prosperity to all Mozambicans.
