Belarusbank tightens 1% mortgage terms: early repayment banned for 5 years

Belarusbank has tightened the terms of its 1% mortgage program — early repayment of the loan is now prohibited for five years. Starting August 21, the ban on early repayment under the 'Ipoteka s nami' program has been extended from 24 to 60 months. During the first year, borrowers pay only interest, after which principal repayment begins. The new rules apply only to new contracts. Previously issued loans retain the original terms.
