Belarusian students win medals at International Olympiad in Informatics

The 38th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2026) took place in Tashkent from August 9 to 16, 2026, with over 370 participants from 97 countries. Belarusian students won one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals.

Kirill Kardash, a student from Secondary School No. 8 in Gomel, won the gold medal. Fyodor Soshko from the Lyceum of the Belarusian State University named after F.E. Dzerzhinsky won silver. Bronze medals were awarded to Mikhail Brel from Secondary School No. 27 and Hennadz Marzinkievich from Secondary School No. 11, both from Gomel.
