Blocking of Belarusian media channels is information vandalism — Belarusian Union of Journalists

The chairman of the Belarusian Union of Journalists commented on the blocking of Belarusian media channels.

"This is a consistent policy of eliminating Belarusian content from the space of new digital media," he said.

"Such an act of information vandalism and censorship will not go unanswered, and, in my opinion, the conditions for YouTube's operations in Belarus must be reconsidered.

YouTube violates not only the rights of Belarusian media companies to produce and distribute content in a convenient way, but also the rights of hundreds of thousands and millions of citizens of the Republic of Belarus and of foreign countries who choose YouTube to watch current news, reliable information, and various talk shows produced in Belarus."
