BMW defies trend, invests €2 billion in German production despite crisis
The Bavarian automaker BMW has invested around 2 billion euros in expanding its factories in Germany, reports the newspaper Financial Times.
While competitors such as Volkswagen and Mercedes are forced to cut production volumes at home, BMW is successfully distancing itself from the general downturn in German industry.
The effectiveness of the company's strategy is clearly demonstrated by last year's figures:
▪️ One in four cars produced in Germany came off BMW's assembly lines.
▪️ While overall car production in the country declined by 10% in 2025, BMW showed solid growth of 6%.
