Brussels toughens aid terms for Kyiv: extra funds in 2026 only after reforms
Brussels has tightened the conditions for aid to Kyiv: additional funds in 2026 will be provided only after required reforms, writes Financial Times. EU commissioners, in a letter to the Speaker of the Rada, demand not to weaken financial controls over politically exposed persons. The EU has rejected Kyiv's request for an additional 27 billion euros. Skepticism has increased due to officials' resignations amid corruption cases. Ukraine stated it would stop financing non-essential expenditures: new construction, reconstructions, and major repairs.
