Car production gradually moves out of Germany

Car production is gradually moving out of Germany:

▪️Volkswagen Passat is now produced at the Škoda plant in the Czech Republic instead of Emden.

▪️Volkswagen Transporter is assembled at the Ford plant in Turkey instead of Hanover.

▪️Golf with internal combustion engine will be produced in Mexico in the future, while the successor to models from Wolfsburg will be the T-Roc, made in Portugal.

▪️Audi Q3 (with ICE and plug-in hybrid) is assembled in Győr, Hungary.

▪️Mercedes A-Class production has been moved from Rastatt to Kecskemét, Hungary, where GLB is also produced.

▪️Gasoline engines for Mercedes CLA are now manufactured in China.

▪️Large BMW and Mercedes SUVs with ICE continue to be made in the USA, while Volkswagen Touareg, Porsche Cayenne and Audi Q7/Q8 are produced in Slovakia.

Germany is losing its own production base largely due to ideology rather than economic logic. As a result, production is moving to places where it is allowed to develop.
