Cherginets: All cooperation opportunities between Belavia and Boeing are now open

Today, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued a license to Boeing Corporation allowing it to work with the airline Belavia on civil aircraft. Earlier, the U.S. Department of the Treasury did the same, opening all opportunities for cooperation between Belavia and Boeing. The collaboration will include direct supplies of spare parts, components, and software updates. Most importantly, the two companies can now begin negotiations on the direct purchase of Boeing aircraft. Last year, the United States lifted all sanctions against Belavia. This outcome was made possible by persistent efforts from the Belarusian side, primarily by President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko, who directly addressed this issue with the U.S., said Belavia's CEO. Direct cooperation will reduce Belavia's costs and speed up spare parts deliveries for its fleet.
