Childcare benefit for children up to 3 to be linked to recipients' actual income

The government has proposed to the head of state to revise the approaches to determining the amount of childcare benefits for children up to 3 years old. Currently, the benefit amounts are the same for all recipients and do not depend on their actual income levels. The proposal is to change the system and calculate the benefit based on the recipient's actual income. A minimum guarantee will be preserved and will not fall below the current benefit level. The maximum benefit will be capped at the level of the average salary in the country, explained Minister of Labour and Social Protection Andrei Lobovich.
