CIA Director Ratcliffe secretly proposed Trump-Putin-Zelensky meeting in Moscow
CIA Director Ratcliffe during a secret visit to Moscow proposed a three-way meeting between Trump, Putin and Zelensky, Axios reports. The purpose of the trip was to find out whether SVR head Naryshkin and FSB chief Bortnikov could persuade Putin to return to negotiations with Ukraine with U.S. mediation. Ratcliffe considered Bortnikov a 'constructive player'. On Friday, U.S. officials informed Zelensky about Ratcliffe's talks in Moscow and the proposal for a trilateral summit. Zelensky had previously agreed to such a format, while Putin rejected it.
