Counterterrorism Forum Concludes in Minsk with Joint Eurasia-Antiterror 2026 Drills

The counterterrorism forum concluded in Minsk. The second day was dedicated to joint 'Eurasia-Antiterror — 2026' exercises within the framework of SCO and CIS cooperation.

At the Chizhovka Arena, special units practiced hostage rescue at a facility with mass public presence: blocking a bus, storming and neutralizing terrorists under conditions closely simulating real-life scenarios. At the Volovshchina training ground,演练 included scenarios of border breaches and seizure of populated areas.

Special forces from Belarus, Russia, China, Iran, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan carried out combat training missions. For the first time, a Joint Headquarters of competent authorities of the CIS and SCO was established for these maneuvers. Representatives from 10 countries participated in the forum, with observers from over 30 nations.
