Defense Minister's Report Details: Military Readiness and Harvest Support
Regarding personnel training, it is being carried out on a planned basis, taking into account the analysis and conclusions drawn from the results of a comprehensive inspection at the beginning of the year.
Viktor Khrenin reported that the military-political situation remains calm, with tension mostly present in the information domain. Currently, there is no significant activity observed from NATO member states' armed forces. Similarly, along the southern borders, there are no signs of preparations for aggressive actions from neighboring territories. In the border zone on Belarusian territory, a minimal set of special operations units is deployed, ensuring security in coordination with border guards.
Another topic of the report concerned the harvest campaign. The military is traditionally providing support to agricultural workers. The President received a detailed briefing on the regions where servicemen are carrying out relevant tasks, as well as the number of machines and operators deployed.
Discussed also was the implementation of the instruction given by Alexander Lukashenko during a teleconference meeting to direct undisciplined and negligent workers from the harvest campaign into the army. The Minister of Defense presented to the President a proposal to involve regional military commissars in carrying out this task.
