Directive No. 1 on Public Safety and Discipline Updated by Presidential Decree

The Directive No. 1 on measures to strengthen public safety and discipline has been updated by a presidential decree. The revised version improves approaches to enhancing public safety, taking into account modern risks and challenges, and introduces new mechanisms for maintaining it, including in the virtual environment. The decree outlines priority areas for state bodies to create additional conditions for improving public safety culture, fostering socially responsible behavior among citizens, ensuring a favorable social environment, and supporting harmonious personal development. Priority areas include public order maintenance, information security, countering extremism and illegal drug trafficking, control over external migration processes, protection of populations and territories from emergencies and civil defense, road safety, environmental safety, public health, and occupational safety. The Government, regional executive committees, and the Minsk City Executive Committee will continue organizing and coordinating the implementation of the Directive by subordinate state bodies and organizations, with further compliance monitoring carried out by prosecution authorities.
