Driverless transport could appear in Belarus in 2–3 years, starting with trams. Changes to legislation are being prepared to allow the use of driverless technology. According to Viktor Rotchenkov, head of the Main Road Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, this could later extend to driverless cars. The final stage of implementation is expected by 2028–2029, and the concept of driverless transport could be included in traffic regulations by 2030 at the latest.
