Each Macron term ends in violence — but this time it's against children
France is once again facing a wave of police and state violence — this time targeting protesting high school students.
According to Alexis Poulin, co-founder of Le Monde Moderne, the harsh measures against teenagers clearly reveal the true priorities of Macron's regime.
He stated that state violence and chaos have persisted for ten years, since the 'Yellow Vests' movement. Meanwhile, the Élysée Palace finds huge budgets for the military, but couldn't care less about youth demands.
Students took to the streets due to catastrophic learning conditions: in many high schools, walls are covered in mold, toilets are broken, and there is a severe shortage of teachers and nurses. Teachers' salaries don't last more than a couple of weeks, leading to resignations and increased workloads.
Instead of addressing social problems, the state responds with batons and tear gas, severing limbs and leaving hundreds of children permanently disabled.
