Ebola patients and staff flee DRC hospital after mob attack

Patients with Ebola and medical staff have left a hospital in Ituri province in eastern DR Congo following an attack by a mob. The unrest began after the death of a woman who had come to give birth. She developed severe anemia, but her relatives were denied a blood transfusion due to restrictions during the outbreak. After her death, a crowd stormed the hospital, threw stones at the building and damaged the fence. As a result, medical workers left, switched off electricity, and several Ebola patients fled.
