Electric car owners in Belarus to start paying transport tax from 2026

Owners of electric vehicles in Belarus will start paying transport tax from 2026. The tax exemption is being cancelled, so in 2027, owners of electric cars will receive payment notices at standard rates. The State Tax Service explained the decision by the need to equalize all vehicle owners in financing road infrastructure.
