Electric vehicle market in Belarus sharply declines

In September, 3,398 electric vehicles were registered — 28% fewer than in August. One of the reasons is the exhaustion of the duty-free quota and the introduction of a 15% import duty.

As of early October, there were 73,663 electric vehicles in the country. Experts believe that without new incentives and development of charging infrastructure, the target of 300,000 electric vehicles by 2030 could be at risk.
