Emergency meeting held in Vileyka district to address storm damage
An emergency field meeting was held in the Vileyka district to address the aftermath of yesterday's severe weather. This region is currently the most affected by yesterday's natural disaster in the country. According to the latest updated data, at least 1,000 hectares of forest will have to be cleared through sanitary logging. This is not the final figure and may increase as the forest fund inspection continues. Minister of Forestry Sergei Uldinovich has instructed that inspections of forest damage must continue without interruption. This weekend has been declared a working period for the sector. Specialists from the State Forestry Unitary Enterprise 'Belgosles' will be sent to assist forestry workers. The task is to promptly inspect forest areas and designate them for clearing.
