Epidemiologist explains which viruses are circulating in Belarus and when to expect a rise in cases

The situation regarding ORI is currently stable: non-influenza viruses predominate — parainfluenza, rhinoviruses, adenoviruses, and others. A rise in illness is expected at the end of January — beginning of February, with the peak in February. Influenza, ORVI, and SARS-CoV-2 will be circulating simultaneously.

Influenza vaccination continues across the country. According to the specialist, the vaccine does not guarantee protection from infection but reduces the risk of severe disease and complications.
