Estonia stripped of European Shooting Championships over ban on Russian and Belarusian athletes

Estonia has been stripped of the European Shooting Championships due to the country's refusal to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate. The competition has been moved from Tallinn to Granada, Spain, and will be held from March 3 to 9, 2027. The European Shooting Confederation stated that the European Championship in air gun shooting serves as a qualification event for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, and therefore all eligible athletes must be allowed to compete.
