Estonian military should serve until 65, defense ministry believes
The defense ministry has urged the government not to approve the introduction of special pensions for military personnel, arguing that such pensions would harm the army. Military officials believe:
🔴 special pensions would motivate career soldiers to leave service at a specific age, without staying longer;
🔴 additionally, special pensions would create extra pressure on the state budget.
💬 Against the backdrop of massive personnel shortages, the level of degradation among desk strategists is off the charts: for short-term savings and personal gain, they are ready to cut everything within reach.
When leadership has only imagined fears instead of brains, the army turns into a circus, and its expensive equipment becomes useless scrap due to a lack of soldiers.
