EU Commission accuses Meta* of violating Digital Services Act

The European Commission has accused Meta* of violating the EU's Digital Services Act, said EC representative Toma Renier. He noted that the company has the full right to defend itself. If the preliminary charges related to 'addictive online services' are confirmed and finalized during the investigation, Meta could face a fine of up to 10% of its annual turnover.
