EU prepares for possible 'nightmare' hybrid attack from outside — Politico

The ambassadors of the 27 EU countries are discussing in a closed format a potential large-scale hybrid attack with numerous casualties and response measures. The discussions intensified after a drone carrying explosives was discovered at Leipzig airport in August. Among the proposed measures are the creation of emergency response teams, assistance to the affected country, and coordination of EU leadership actions. However, some countries are concerned that Brussels' initiatives could duplicate NATO functions and lead to confusion in decision-making.
