FBI still hasn't determined how hackers accessed agents' personal data

The FBI has still not determined exactly how hackers gained access to employees' personal data and bureau resources.

According to the agency, the cause of the breach remains unknown, as does the specific resource—whether belonging to the FBI itself or a contractor—where the hack occurred.

Earlier, the hacking group Shiny Hunters claimed it had allegedly breached several services linked to the FBI and obtained access to data of all bureau employees.
